it's one of my faves too even if the quality is rather low.. i just like how ruthless TY is.. for me this is the best short low quality donghua.. imagine if it would have good animation and longer episodes this would be as good as fanren or swallowed star imo or even wanmei shijie..well i exagerate a little but that's how much of a guilty pleasure is to watch TY having no chill every episode :))

Its like all the rest are either mediocre, or average at best kinda incompetent when scaling up to Tan Yun, but do they get bashed on and ridiculed for it nope its like a course all teachers and masters are so gun ho on mock'n and looking down on this man. However when this man perfect some overwhelming top grade pills oh no nobody never heard of these pills, and I get that cause honestly Tan Yun like the master to all of them know some thangs they can't even fathom, but nope I'm guess'n they going accuse him of cheat'n in some way right. mhm they still dont learn from this situation lol when they actually go into the Forbidden Area, Tan Yun saves students from the Pill division, he refuses to save other students from other divisions except for some half a dozen students. In the next competition he will save more but refuse to say those from the Weapons, Beast and some other divisions, mainly he found out that they are being lead by outside powers and are trying to cause damage to the Huangfu Sect but that is not until much later

well its a bit more complicated than that but on some level i agree with you.. most of TY skills and knowledge comes from a very distant past from his past life.. all that has been lost for some reason..its either time or outside interference (like the world is being kept in the dark about some things on purpose like in wanmei shijie where SH world is actually a prison/ingrediens garden for higher powers..either way this is just speculation on my part) so to some level its understandable they view TY's skills with suspicion also his arrogance and success doesnt help him being loved by ppl in general especially when everyone is an arrogant pr1ck.. another thing is that his strength is not apparent to their eyes.. just cause they have never seen anyone like him.. this bothers me personally, just cause someone is weak doesnt mean they need to be treated trash but that's a problem with all donghuas..maybe its a problem with asian mentality or just a lack of originality when writing characters or stories.. cause all their plots have the same cause..and as usual i digress :)

I think of it as more of a passage of time issue that has caused them to lose certain recipes for pill refinement. Like in the real world we've lost a lot of art and historic pieces due to war and the passage of time which has caused them to degrade.

yep the passage of time is the most likely reason all that knowledge is lost.. or maybe that knowledge is not from the world they are in currently. TY used to be some sort of god in his past life so that's a possibility too

she did clarified about burning the pills to them tho....she's supporting tan yun but she still had her inner doubts cuz tan yun is considered "newbie" with not much achievement yet...he dont even has his own own furnace....cant blame her if she has some doubts...cuz you know, he could be good at some thing and bad at some other thing, it's normal....they didnt know tan yun is expert in almost everything...he only struggled so far because his body is not yet strong enough to use her real power to the full extend.
